Ok, I am female..I have a medical issue that causes my testosterone levels to be too high. I had someone say maybe that is why I am attracted to females...Is that even logical?

The presence of larger than normal levels of testosterone during development can cause the brain to develop more male, not more gay. If you identify as female, then I highly doubt that even happened, but it did it could explain your sexuality. It would mean that your brain would be that of a straight guy.Like said, if you identify as female, then your brain is female; you're bi or les; and I just wasted my time typing all of this.

You could have gender nonconformity. this is where you constructed many characteristics that is said to belong to the opposite gender, even as a child. Some science is saying this could be hormonal imballance, but i also know some children do learn characteristics that seem to belong to the opposite gender. Gender nonconformity is not the same a s homosexuality. Homosexuality is constructed. yes you gender nonconformity could have been part of your predisposition to constucting homosexuality. But not all people that have a gender nonconformity will construct homosexuality. Also not all gay people had a gender nonconformity.
Homosexuality is constructed. You most likely do not remember the first act of homosexuality you participated in, it may have even been an innoscent act. Children do things at young ages, they often a flattered by some instances even, this alone could cause a person to construct homosexuality. Children forget, but influence could remain .
First understand homosexualality is constructed, just like hetrosexuality is constructed.
The Formula For Constructing A Homosexual
This formula can be illustrated in this way: A Predisposition
Toward Homosexuality Plus That First Homosexual Experience
Multiplied By Pleasurable and Positive Homosexual Thoughts
To Which Is Added More Homosexual Experiences Multiplied By More Pleasurable Thoughts Constructs A Homosexual.

The Formula For constructing A Hetrosexual
This formula can be illustrated in this way: A Predisposition
Toward hetrosexuality Plus That First Hetrosexual Experience
Multiplied By Pleasurable and Positive Hetrosexual Thoughts
To Which Is Added More Hetrosexual Experiences Multiplied By
More Pleasurable Thoughts Constructs A Hetrosexual.

What's your estrogen level? Some people have ALOT of BOTH hormones. I think that this should only make you worry about certain cancers. (I have very high levels of both, myself and my doctors watch it)

That being said, why apply this to your sexual preference?

It's about WHO you like...not about their equipment:) LOL

I SWORE that I was an exlusive lesbian in high school, but I always had guy friends. Now I'm married (to a man... the second time) and have found that my more meaningful relationships have been with men, but just won't rule another gender out (although I happen to be spending the rest of my life happily with a man)

Some olympic athletes have been women (with biological kids) and with extensive testing have been contested as women athletes and sometimes have been ousted from the Olympics because they have XY chromosones instead of XX even though they have played out their XX equipment!!

Hormones and even chromosones can't even tell you what your gender preference "should" be. Sorry, don't think that there is a "why".

Why prefer either? Seems so limiting.

Testosterone has nothing to do with who you are attracted to or what your sexual preference is.

You're testosterone level controls your sex drive, not your sexual preference

nope..not logical at all...testosterone increases your sex drive not who you're attracted to.

You like females because your brain is wired that way before you were even born.

I really don't think so. It's almost too "logical" to be logical.

it is possible that it increases your aggresion and sex drive but it is unlikely to be the reason your attracted to women.

No, sorry. It id better for girls testosterone levels to be higher than normal, than for guys estrogen levels to high...Don't be lesbian. It is so wrong.
