i have 2 questions. 1st is every time i put my van in gear it makes a clink or clunk sound no matter if it's reverse or drive and 2nd question. it vibrates when i go down the road at 45 mph but it's smooth before it goes up to 45 and then when i let off the gas just give it a little gas it really viberates what would make it do that...thanks for e1's help

I would check your universal joints. Just slide under the van and grab the driveshaft with your hands and see if you can twist it. If it moves at all without moving the yoke (the piece that connects to the axle and its look alike on the back of the transmission) then you need new universal joints.

Well like everybody else I would check the U-joints but you want to have it on level ground with the wheels chocked (so it wont roll) and put it in neutral other wise it would be in a bind and you wont be able to tell if the U-joints have play in them. If your not sure take it to a repair shop and have them check it but dont delay or yoy may have your drive shaft tumbling down the hiway if it is a U-joint problem.

could be universal joints or someone ran over something and bent or unbalanced the shaft which would put ujoints out of proper alignment

well i'd check your fluid first and then maybe get new tires or a balance job

check your universal / constant velocity,drive joint,s........don,t delay.............this could be serious.
