The lady I babysat for cut my LONG hair like Carol Brady's shag (or mullet as it's called sometimes.) Then she bleached it a brassy-yellow color. Yep school started that week! What a horrible mess!

I wanted highlights so bad when I was a sophomore that I let my mother do an at home kit on it. She did it wrong and then ended up putting the color all over my head. That made it turn a brassy orange. SO we went to a local drugstore to get a hair color anti-brass thingy and that made my hair just a golden orange then. By 1 o'clock in the morning, we were finished and I cried myself to sleep.......Oh by the way, did I say that we were doing all this the night BEFORE the first day of school? No one would look at my hair for 8 months. After three months, I thought it was looking ok.

I once had my hair permed, and dyed at the same time. Since I already have red curly hair to begin with, this may not have been the best decision I ever made. When it was done, I looked like Ronald McDonald's Mom!!! It took a looong time to get back to normal and I have never tried anything like that again.

I tried cutting it "just a little " just a little my butt. I freaking hacked it. I looked like the biggest freaking idiot in the world. Hell no it looked bad bad bad. Sad thing is I didn't learn the first time I did it again about 15 years later.

Need a hair cut? LOL

here's a funny story:
i really wanted to get a haircut. i just really wanted to. but i couldnt because i didnt have any money and i didnt get paid until the next day.
when my husband came home from work that day he was shocked to find a sink full of my hair.
i couldnt wait til the next day so i cut my hair myself.
i just flipped my head upside down and started cutting.
it looked so horrible when i was done. it was totally even all around, it just looked really really bad.
a few months later it started to grow out and i was able to style it in such a way that looked really good.
so it took MONTHS but it looked GREAT!!! once it grew to the perfect length.

strange huh?

I got a poodle perm to my waist length hair. It took over 3 years to grow out. Never gotten a perm since. That was in 1989.

I got a tight perm and tried to dye my hair dark brown, but it came out black. It probably didn't look good, but it was fun. I would wear dark makeup and red lipstick.

Oh, I forgot about the time I used sun-in and turned my hair orange.....that wasn't pretty.
