i don't know why but i read, search and do anything to get information about the idea of people living in prisons/jails...sometimes i find that to be really strange...so sometimes i wonder if that's normal?

yeah its normal to be interested. and even if you get kinda obsessed about it there is nothing wrong with your wanting to know. you know what prisoners obsess about? ok they stand in the dayroom and watch americas most wanted or COPS on tv and say...look at that fool. that would've never happened to me. or ....ok remember to keep the getaway car closer...or remember that 3 can keep a secret if 2 are dead.....or.....i know that guy!!! keep your interests. if other people think its weird just don't talk to them about it. if you wanna hear some good prison stories email me and ask whatever you want...i will send you as many as you can handle

Some things to think about from your question.
I would say that this is a pretty unique culture and worth studying.
Normal is a messed up standard. There are lots of weird little hobbies out there, why is this strange?
Do you have a genuine interest? How obsessed are you? What are you doing with what you learn about the prison culture?

If it's because you feel sympathetic for those in prison and are curious as to how they go through that life then I say it's better than normal. If it's because you would like to go there for an extensive period of time then that may be slightly abnormal- but that's just me.

Im kinda obsessed with it too. I watch thi s show on MSNBC called lock up where they go to different prisons and talk to the inmates.....I like to hear there stories. So yeah your normal cuz i think im normal........I think :)

you have phobia in jail. your mind is behaving irrational when you thinking about jail. so you feel you need to find some informations so the fear will lessen
