Many people, me included have some sort of anxiety in their life.

Have you found some good approaches for yourself to go from anxiety to feeling decisive and capable? What sort of anxietes have you already overcome?

when i write, i feel so accomplished.
like "i just got my feelings onto this paper- wow.. thats awesome!"
especially with poetry.. because i know that no one can KNOW my words with the feeling that i have..
sure, they can say it, but they will never mean it like me, because thats MY heart on the page..
that is such a heady feeling for me.. one of power and accomplishment.
i have had to overcome anxiety relating to change..
moving families, moving houses, moving HOMES, moving friends, moving relationships...
and even with my identity.. which i still cant figure out..
emotionally, physically, sexually..
ugh, i'm still confused!

i overcame a social anxiety disorder by placing myself around people i didn't care about.
it sounds strange enough, but once i was around them i could open up, make jokes, act strange, etc. because i knew there would be no consequence if they didn't like me. i practiced this around them, and then built up my social self esteem so i could go around people who i cared about and be completely open with them.
