I mean, it's not copying. Like, it just does nothing and when I click to paste it in paint, it says there's nothing to copy!

No, see, I press PrtScn, and it doesn't copy! It doesn't do anything at all! *sigh*

Download a really neat little free program called "printkey." Easy to use and will solve your problems.
Printkey

Hope that helps.

1st off:
all u need 2 do is press PrtSc (no need for the Alt button)
2ndly:
the screenshot doesnt actually save until u copy it into a program. the most common 1 to use is MS paint u just open Paint and then press Edit>Paste. or u cud get a program that saves screenshots automatically. most cost money but dont get scammed, i got 1 called screen capture professional from download.com for free. just go to download.com and search for it. the installer file is only around 400KB and it saves ur shots automatically to a single folder. most importantly, u dont hav to pay a penny :)

Sometimes, and I have no answer for this, I have to Alt +PrnScr a couple of times, then go to where you want, right-click on the desktop, and paste.

Once you hit those keys, it copies an image of the screen into a "buffer". You need to do womthing with that. You can open MS Pain and paste it into there, or MS word, or ???. Once there, you can save it, print it, edit it, etc.

ok...
You should do alt before prt scr or it will be the same as prt scr
Prt Scr means to take a screen shot of everything you see on the screen (program, taskbar, etc)
Alt+Prt Src takes a screen shot of your current program (without the taskbar)
I think maybe you should try a different program to paste the screen shot to. did you try ctr+v (shortcut for paste)?
