As a part time cross-dresser 145, 5' 7", I prefer modest heels with open toe 2 1/2" - 3" high (you can try 4" and higher, but spending any considerable amount of time in these can get painful, plus since very few woman are taller than 6', 4" is probably out for you, try to keep it under 5' 11"), sheer stockings (consider painting toenails too), a knee length dress or possibly skirt/pant outfit, (my preferred dress style is cocktail and blue, I don't like mini dresses or mini skirts) and light makeup.

If you want to look even more feminine, look at purchasing the following... a quality bustier/corset, a gaff (hides/compacts the male genitals), breast forms/prosthesis (don't go the tissue route), padded panties or hip/butt pads (if needed) and a wig (unless you already have a feminine hair style or have the hair to do so).

Possibly the most important thing is, watch how a woman moves/walks/sits etc..., you can have the prettiest face, curvy body, sexy outfit, but if you don't move like a woman...

If you want to just see how you look, wear a dress. You're probably a 12, but if you go to a vintage dress shop you'll find prettier (more fitted) dresses from the 60s and 70s and you'll probably need a 14. Add a size or a size-and-a-half to your shoe size; there are some online shops that have nice shoes in larger sizes.

If you plan to go out, do NOT wear a dress; it will attract too much attention. The girls who suggested jeans and a top were right, but you can get a nice skirt at one of the dept. stores or Marshalls or a store like that.

Tops might be hard unless you're willing to shave arms, underarms, chest, back. Lots of tops are sheer and you don't want people seeing what's in your bra or hair you didn't shave).

If you're looking for hose, add 10 lbs to the measurement on the package. You're shaped differently.

And get a slip or cami. They help you feel feminine.

If you're brave, go to the MAC or other counter and tell them you want a makeover. I used to work at MAC and believe me, we've seen EVERYTHING. Be prepared to buy.... We live on commissions.

BUT, from your other questions ("I lost a bet and have to dress up"), I think you just like to have women tell you what to wear and are really hoping to find someone to dress you up.
