Do you shut it off completely or leave it on stand-by or just leave it on?!!

I leave my on. I have left my laptop on at the office for years and have heard that it is better to leave them on. Booting them up and down can cause errors is what someone told me. I leave my home computer on as well and have suffered no consequences.

I leave mine on 24/7. I have a very good firewall, and I usually shut off the Internet when I go to bed.
Leaving it on uses more power, but saves on the PCs capacitors.
You should still reboot periodically.

Usually. Something to consider is that by default Windows update manager downloads updates at 3:00AM. It is usually on a Tuesday that the updates are made available. If you are running Windows I highly recommend leaving your computer on Monday nights so that it can download the updates or just change the time that it updates and you won't have to leave your computer on. You can change the time by right clicking on My Computer > Properties > Automatic Updates tab. Good luck!

shut it off. after 15 minutes it uses as much power as a cold boot.

i leave mine on. continuously turning your computer on and off is not good for your computer.

I will shut down my system after finishing my work. it is safer particularly when u have high speed net connection

i shut mine off cuz it gets to loud and i have to sleep in the dark cuz if theres lights then i cant sleep
