Standard Deoderants only prevent oder until you start to sweat then they start to wash off with the sweat leaving you smelling like a rotting pig trough. Anti-Persperant/Deoderants help to stop the sweating and help make your pits smell nice.

Here is an interesting twist....... The pheromones that we attract the opposite sex with are Ummm under the arm. No kidding. I'm not talking stinky BO either. I'm talking the individual smell that we all carry but nobody 'really' can smell. It's that "chemical" reaction that we have to each other. It's an animal thing.

So........ I have read that you should only use an anti-persirant because it doesn't cover up the pheromones that actually attracts that special someone even though that special someone has no idea why they are just soooo attracted to you.

Of course I do recommend a regular shower daily and even more so with physical activity that causes stinky pits. But scientifically, deodorants will cut down that animal manchismo (hehe) that we all have.

Just another point of view.

Use an antiperspirant/deodorant. Both last about the same amount of time, I find.

antiperspirant stops the sweating (perspiration)
the deodorant is to cover the odor.....(deodorizes)
you need to use one that says both.

With my own experience antiperspirants like Right Guard Extreme and anything with a "power strip" work well.
