respect is the honour and feeling of formality you have for someone.

u are giving respect when u listen to others talking, appreciate their ideas, encourage their thoughts, dont talk over them and stuff thats not rude basically

when someone does rude things, you feel disrespected

depends really on your and that persons relation. if u hate him/her and u did that on purpose then i dont know but if u it is your friend, u will feel bad

be nice to people to show respect

Well, from a Mormon/Christian point of view, I think respect means that you treat others the way you would want to be treated (The Golden Rule, see Matthew 7:12 in the Bible). It doesn't mean that you have to idolize or act subservient to anyone, but you recognize all people as children of God and worthy of politeness. If people are willing to use "please" and "thank you" that is an immediate sign of respect, and it's expected that you feel respected. If someone uses dirty language, I immediately feel like they don't respect me. Sometimes you have to see things from their point of view, but in general, rude or dirty remarks make me think they are trying to have a laugh at my expense. When I was really young (maybe 10) I sassed back (in a mild way) a Sunday school teacher once, but she gave me a lecture so I never did that again. She probably thought I did not appreciate her preparation for teaching the lesson. I felt bad after she gave me a lecture because at the time I did not realize I had been engaging in hurtful sarcasm. To show respect for others, it's important to learn how to listen to what they are saying and then you can restate what you thought they said.

respect- politeness and esteem for someone
-I feel respected when I hear good feedback about something I did.
-When I don't get recognition for a job well done, but get prompt scolding when I make a mistake.
-When I was lied to by a person I respected/loved a lot, I cursed them off.
-It wasn't my proudest moment, but it hurt both of us, because I am not a mean person.
-Always treat others like I want others to treat me.
