i have had yest infections befor and know it is one. i should have started treatment a few days ago but have been sick w a cold n couldnt get out to buy treatment . thanks.

Did you do home treatment first, and not go to the doctor? Because it might not be yeast, it might be fungal. You might have the wrong medicine, if it burns that bad don't use it til you see your doctor.

You may not be ok and yes it is normal if you are not.
It depends on how severe your infection is. If it is severe and you are raw burning is normal and expected.
As a man when I have a yeast flare up (yes men do get it also) and I apply jock itch or other yeast cream on sometimes it burns more than other times.
I suggest you see your doctor and get a pill to take and clear it up from the inside. I also suggest you go to a book store and get the book called "The Yeast Connection" and read it.

Are you sure you have a yeast infection? Or maybe if you have had a yeast infection for a while before you started treatment, and were really raw, Monostate would probably burn. If it burns after a couple of days, I would go to an OBGYN.

It can be a side-effect of the treatment. I usually have a bit of that too. Read the insert; it says that that can happen.
