what does caput mean; the word caputu with an accent mark over the "u"? and can you also show me an example by putting it into a sentence?

It means "head" in French, I think , kin to "Capet". "Kaput" is a German word meaning "finished, over and done, destroyed, out of commission.".

This word has several meanings, however, the most common with this spelling means "head", it can also mean a "head like protuberance" or a "disease of the scalp of newborns". I don't think you would find it used often in modern English. A sentence example might be:

The plant I'm speaking of had caput like foliage, resembling Medusa.
