I am wondering if the game Myst published in 1994 by Ubisoft is the same as the game RealMyst published in 2000 by Cyan. I want to play the new Myst Online game but I would like to try the earlier games first to familarize with the game. Is there any difference at all in these two games????

yes there are. The orginal Myst is of course made using older grapics. realMyst, has better color, a few more atomospheric conditions (sunsets, thunderstorms, ect) some of the cutscenes were redone and a new age was added. I don't think the new age has any real contibution to the game but makes the series tie together better. I played the orignal one. It was the first video game I ever finished. It is a great series. The story is wonderful. and the graphics are amazing. Myst online though will mostly follow the Uru Saga, though. you can buy that complete collection on ebay. shouldn't be really expensive. maybe $10. the Uru saga consists of Uru, To D'ni expansion pack, Path of the Shell expansion pack, and Myst 5 End of Ages. (if you want to know more about Yeesha) Personally I prefered the orignal storyline of Myst, Riven, Exile, and Revelation. Hope I helped you and that you enjoy the games. No matter which game you play try to remember that the point of these games is NOT the ending, but the journey along them.
