Can't think of many positive things... but remember that jerks don't see themselves that way at all... ask one and they'll tell you how great they are. :)

The uniqueness of jerkism is one that lives in the hallowed halls of memories. True once a jerk always a jerk but the wisdom to show how others are more jerky than you truely takes time and practice. So once a jerk always a jerk but Once a JERK always stupid.

none. I thought I could give a better answer but really there are none. Life is so much more pleasing when you learn to love others, even if they don't like you.
I guess the only advantage is it's easier to be a jerk than to have love for someone no matter what they think of you, but I guarantee you it's way less gratifying.

Being an old Army first Sgt, if one of my soldiers gave me a hard luck story about his family or dog being sick, I usually gave him time off to take care of his problems even though I would find out later, his family was well and he had no dog, but they were always with me when the chips were down.

I've never been able to bring myself to do it, but it seems very tempting sometimes to just say what I really think instead of being constantly polite.
