After reading around on the net about similar problems, I think my problem may be bad bushings on my shocks or leaf springs. Is it possible to replace or lubricate these bushings by myself? Or will I have to have the shocks replaced? About how much does all of this stuff usually cost?

The Camry has a strut type independed rear suspenion with coil springs. The cause of the noise is most likely the upper strut mounts, not stabilizer bushings - and no, these can not be lubricated. Either live with it or replace the struts and mounts.

I doubt the Camry has leaf springs but if it did they can be very difficult to remove,I usually just burn them out if that's an option. Try just spaying some good lubricant around the bushings and see if that helps.
