I think it's a very cute name.

The one thing I have learned in this life (seriously, the ONE thing) is to never, ever put much stock into what other people do or don't say. You have a gorgeous new baby with a very sweet name that you and your husband obviously like a lot- that's all that matters. Congratulations.

I don't like surnames for girls. I really like Bailey for a boy or dog. I just don't think it's a name that's particularly attractive for a woman...toddler, fine...but not grown-woman. Sorry, I'm being blunt though you asked for honesty... 2ndly, I don't like the spelling because it's too cutesy with the double -ee. Whenever I see a name like that (Kylee, Rylee, Bailee) it just looks kinda trashy to me. Again, the spelling is cute for a 5 yr old, but not cute for a woman. Whenever people use masculine/surname/or hard sounding 1st names, i always think it's irrelevant to use a feminine middle name. "Rose" does offset Bailee since it's the opposite in style, but how many times do you hear a person's middle name?
However, Bailey is not uncommon name used for girls. Though you probably would have gotten more positive responses if you'd have gone with a more feminine name. As I said, i just don't think the name makes a very attractive sound. I would have used any of the other variants that sound similiar: Kailey, Hailey, Riley, Miley (all sound more feminine)... NOW that I've put my 2 cents in, I will tell you that I almost named my daughter a hard-sounding/surname, but changed it to a feminine name after much thought and consideration... so I will say either: 1) Dont worry about it! You're the mommy, and if YOU love the name Bailee, then it will do no good to question it and worry about other's opinions... OR 2) Change her name (if it bothers you that much) to a name you love or call her Rose.
Good Luck :)

I love the name Bailee, it was my grandmothers maiden name. I always said I wanted to name my daughter that (however we have a boy and are having a second this spring). Also my ex bf named his daughter that and I now have a step cousin name Bailey. I think Bailee Rose is pretty especially if Rose has a meaning behind it. My ex named his Bailey Alise. I also like the idea of calling her Bailee Rose rather than just Bailee.

I think you're probably being overly sensitive right now. Look, there are going to be people who LOVE the name, and people who HATE the name...take it all with a grain of salt.

I personally think the name is adorable. It's a very pretty name! My cousin's name is Bailey, but I also love the way you spelled your daughter's name. The name is a bit over-used these days, so maybe that's why you haven't been getting any overwhelming responses like "Oh I LOVE that name! So unique!"...people might just be like, "Oh how sweet, another Bailee". But really, all that matters is if YOU like it! Like I said, it's a very pretty name and I think you paired the first and middle names together well.

Congrats on the little girl!

Bailee Rose is nice and unique. Not everyone is going to like what you choose. What matters is that you like it. Make sure though you go over all the potential name calling words. Because it will happen. And if you find some weird ones, make sure you school your child young on how to come back when dumb kids tease her about her name.

I like Alyssa Rose. Bailee Anne. Hey how about Bailee Roseanne Peterson.

So many options.. go with what you like.

I love the name Bailee I usually see it like "Bailey" But I Love it with two "e's" Rose is cute too. Bailee Leigh-anne Would Be Adorable Though. All That Matters Is That You Like It.

I don't see anything wrong with it. Honestly, and I am pretty picky about names. The only thing that I wouldn't personally picked would have been to spell Bailee with a double e, but it sounds cute and you are probably hormonal!! Anyone who is complaining about the name should get on this site and see some of the freaky things people use on their kids!!

I think its a great name; but I will admit that I've never known any girls that are named Bailee, but maybe I should get out more! lol but really, it's quite nice. I like the girl's name Daisy and a lot of people don't; you'll always get people that don't like certain names, even the popular ones like Katie- which by the way, thank you for NOT naming her Katie, I know soo many girls named Katie.

:-D

Since I work for a school we hear many different names.
Bailee is such a pretty feminine name. Bailee Rose is a lucky child to have such thought put into her name!!!
Great choice.

I like Bailee Rose together. I don't really like Bailee that much as a rule, but it is really pretty with Rose.
