At last - a fellow smoker who is as equally hacked off about all the restrictions and moral codes that are, in my view, totally out of context with all the other dangers and double-standards that life throws at us.
I smoke 40 a day - and enjoy it. It helps me relax when I'm stressed out, chill out even more when I'm not, the cigarette break is MENTALLY healthy! That's when I can come up with decent ideas, step back and see reality for what it is. It enhances my life - it doesn't erode it.
I've smoked for 20 years. I've got a clean bill of health. And as far as I'm concerned the fat people, the anoerexics, the ones who look and dress like slobs, the 4X4 drivers, the p!ss heads, the ones who take careers in begging, theft, assault, are far worse than a law-abiding smoker who suddenly is made a criminal.
Of course, given a choice on whether to stand next to a baby or not whilst smoking - I'll choose not to do so out of politeness based on the 'social code' of this moment. The complainers who go out on a limb to ask me not to smoke around them will always get no reaction out of me (which is always the best, and most frustrating, response for em to get!).
One of the other great things about smoking - is that you realise that most of these complainers are calling the kettle black - and should first look at their own so-called 'failings' before attacking others.
They can all sod off - get a life - and not make the lives of others miserable! In fact - maybe - they should take up smokin'! But you, sir, get a gold star!!!

the government must be losing quite a bit of revenue because of people not being allowed to smoke at work and in the pub etc so i think its only fair that whatever amount it is should be divided up and the anti smoking brigade should personally pay it as an add on to their tax instead of landing the ones who didn`t complain with extra tax
for every 20 less cigs smoked that would be like £2.50 tax .but they wouldn`t mind doing all the extra hours in the lovely smoke free atmosphere they wanted

Yes you will be clear by June 21. And weed stays in your system UP TO 30 days. That means that only in the heavy smokers is it in your system that long. If you just occasionally smoke weed can be out of your system in a week or less. Although I'm sure that is more than enough time to show up clear on a urine test, if you're really worried about it exercise and drink cranberry juice to help get it out of your system faster.

The dumbest one is not smoking in a bar. Of course everyone in the bar is there because they are terribly concerned about their health right???LOL!!! It's simply a matter of too much govt. in our lives. I think that if an establishment wants to be smoke free it should be and people who want to go out and dine or have a drink in a smoke free environment should patronize those places. I don't see the need to smoke at a McDonald's or a Burger King where there are kids around. I think that most smokers use self control and restraint and would respect others wishes if left to do so on their own. My godson has really bad asthma, it gets kicked up when he is exposed for long periods to cig. smoke. I never smoke around him in enclosed areas. I do stand outside and smoke at his house and he comes out and talks with me. But, the fresh air keeps him from getting sick. There are other ways that smoking can be handled to benefit both parties and I think that the govt. needs to get out of our lives. We are headed for communism.

If there were some sort of vaccine that we could be given to prevent cancer and still be able to smoke? I'd set the entire anti-smoking ads on fire and decorate it with menthol lights.
as to the brigade members. I'd say **** off! But since that isn't possible. I'll just have to quit tomorrow.

I wouldn't have to do anything cause I would get to do what I want -smoke -and I wouldn't have to hear their ******* complaining about how smokers and smoking are the reasons for everything that has ever gone wrong in their lives! What a joyful day that would be! I guess the one thing I would do would be to gloat and smoke wherever and whenever I wanted to.How happy , glorious day! Pinch me, I must be dreaming!!! :)

I don't smoke anymore, I had to quit for my health but I did smoke for 35 years and didn't want to quit. Anyway, as long as you aren't blowing smoke in someones face you ought to be able to do what you want with your life. If you smoke you may not have as long a life but you may have a more enjoyable life, so tell the smoking nazies that you are living your own life and enjoying a legal product and they can f23k off.

Put it in my pipe and SMOKE it.
About time we stick together. Gov't is trying to take all smoking rights away because a FEW pansies don't like it.
I ain't worried though. Weed is illegal and I know tons of people who can buy it as easily as I buy a pack of butts.

Quitting is for quitters!
Ex smokers are the worst of the lot, they should be made to listen to tapes of themselves whining.
