It works either way. Whites don't always accept other races and same with blacks, asians, or indians.

I think that they may be better people, look at all the obstacles that were
placed on them over the centuries and they still manage to
be top in many fields, entertainment-Jamie Foxx, Denzel
Washington, Halle Barry Academy award winners, Sports
Tiger woods - Golf, Micheal Jordan Basketball, William Sisters
Tennis, Politics, Condeleeza Rice, Colin Powell, The CEO
of American Express, The super bowl head coaches just
to name a few. If you look at the population of black Americans
in the US compared to the General Population, I believe that
they are doing an exceptional job. Even with the racism projected
in the US you hardly hear of blacks making overt
televised racist views of other Americans. I have never been
subjected to such and would wonder if I would be able to succeed with such harsh criticism.

I don't play the "race game." To me, everyone is an individual. I am more interested in how a person thinks, and what their values are, than what color they are.
That said, let me address your question. I think that a lot of white people have negative feelings about black people because of the way that they are portrayed in the media. I am not referring to black news or sportscasters. These people are very professional looking. They are articulate and polished.
The problem is the people that I refer to as the rap culture. They come across as rude, violent and criminal. They are the worst example of a role model for anyone, black or white. Unfortunately, many young black people think that this is the image that they should strive for. They mimic the look, language and gestures of these low-life thugs.
Some whites see this negative stereotype as typical of blacks. They are reluctant to associate with people who they judge to be little more than criminals. This is very unfortunate for the majority of blacks, who are hard-working, decent people.
The mainstream media is doing this to blacks. Media has always been in the forefront of promoting hatred. That's how they do it.
Blacks need to clean up their act. Put pressure on the young guys who walk around with their pants falling down, rags around their head, and speak "ebonics". They are hurting the rest of you.

It goes all the way back to ancient times. To make a long story short , whites started alot of bad propaganda about blacks back in slavery days so that they could make slavery seem right to the white Christians. The people started to believe this propaganda and it continued until today. But if you look at every single race, the darker ones are always treated more inferior to the lighter ones. This is something that has to be looked into really deep. There are so many answers to this question. It has been changing somewhat, but I experience racism everywhere I go. More from white people, but I experience it from all races. Hispanics, Asians, but just more white than any other. It makes me sad to see people talk about about different races, especially mine. If you were to cut all of our skin and hair off we would all look the same. What are we all fighting for? This is a good question, but I kind of wish that you did not write it because alot of racist ignorant people are going to answer your question in the most ignorant ways. It really puts a hole in your soul when people treat you like you are inferior just because your skin is darker or lighter. It's the stupidest thing in the world, and it shows just how uncivilized the human race can be. Me, I treat everyone equal. I am black and white, my fiance is Asian, hey......I love everyone. God Bless.

Its not difficult to accept anyone one as an equal provided that the ground is level for both teams..... you can't go into anything with a " you owe me " attitude, or an I'm better than you attitude..its all about ego. blindfold everyone and we are all equal...if you do the same work and get the same recognition for the same job it helps equallity go a looooooooooooooong way.

I am a white American with many black American friends that i treat equal.but of course they treat me as an equal also.i judge every person of the HUMAN race as an individual and leave how they are to be treated up to them.i would be a fool to treat anyone of any color any way at all if i don't even know them for who they are as individuals.
i don't believe in white, black, red, brown, yellow, or even purple.
i put us all as human race.

Well its not all, just the KKK and some racists, and that comes from ignorance and the view and opinion that they have, is that they're superior. I also think of how they were brought here to serve, and be slaves, make those ignorant look down on them.

Who said I have difficulty accepting any race as equal?
Don't you think your question is a little presumptuous?
