No way, they are a total accessory these days. Whenever I want to look like a tough gangster, I put one in. Sometimes when I am walking out of a restaurant after eating, I feel like a tough gangster because I am using one to clean my teeth.

There have been only two ways to look cool with a toothpick in your mouth, and that's if you were James Dean or Marlon Brando back in the fifties.
To say anything more would be uncool.

A toothpick is better than a cigarette and is the only alternative sometimes. Also, we have baby spoons, the Chinese use two toothpicks to feed their babies.

Yes. But dental floss or a proxabrush works better.
I hate when people just chew toothpicks, because after they're finished they just spit them out anywhere. Just -how- does that look cool???

I don't use toothpicks but when gramps is over he always asks for one. I don't think he looks cool while using it.

Criminy, my in-laws always have a toothpick holder out after supper. My husband has followed suit.

No, I don't like toothpicks. If I don't have floss when I need it then the cellophane from my cigarette pack works just as well.

Yes, my husband actually uses them for their real purpose...to pick his teeth! Personally, I'd rather just get a piece of dental floss.
