Some men and women are intimidated by a very pretty (cute) girl/women. If someone doesn't want to get ahead by their looks alone, what do they do to get them noticed for their brains and not their looks?

You have to think outside the square and offer something you are excellent at and better than everyone else at.

Hey, if you're pretty and smart or can convince people you're smart, you are unstoppable!

Just be sure you understand the issues being discussed or considered (so you'll have to do your homework), and don't speak unless you know you're right on target. Only state facts or do-able solutions and don't try to be funny. It's much easier to be quiet than to take back something stupid you said.

Always be nice and smile at everyone, but don't date the boss. Almost always ends in tears. If you can possibly avoid it, don't date anyone at work (this kinda stinks: I mean, where are you supposed to meet datable people -- on your commute?). The air of mystery is a good thing; be friendly but don't let people know much about your private life.

Be prepared for some people to hate you, just because you're pretty and smart. Don't flinch. Always be nice. Keep smiling. When you take power, be merciful.

P.S. Sorry! I forgot -- dress professionally. Not cutsey or sexy. Besides, if you cover it up, that's more sexy. Guys are strange that way...

Depends upon person to person,

especially lady to lady.
