It HAS to be a song be Stephen Sonheim.... I am an alto...... I prefer a song that was originallly song by a girl.... slow or fast... Any help is greatly appreciated!

Absolutely the best song for you to do, and his best known work, is "Send in the Clowns." It's the perfect range for an alto.

Did you know that Stephen Sondheim was the librettist for Leonard Bernstein's West Side Story? If you include that in your search for Sondheim, you can easily do Anita's song, which is quite definitely alto.

these are not by Stephen Sonheim
but are still perfect for Altos like us and all except music of the nite are sung by girls!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
