20. y/2 - 2 > 10

First: eliminate the fraction --- multiply the denominator by every term...

(2)(y/2) - (2)(2) > (2)(10)

Sec: cross cancel "like" terms & combine the rest...

y - 4 > 20

Third: isolate "y" on one side --- add "4" to both sides...

y - 4 + 4 > 20 + 4
y > 24

30. 3t - 13 < 5t

First: isolate "-13" on one side --- subtract "3t" to combine with "5t"...

3t - 3t - 13 < 5t - 3t
- 13 < 2t

Sec: Isolate "t" on one side --- divide both terms by "2"...

- 13/2 < 2t/2
- 13/2 < t
Or, t > - 13.2

15. 1/3b - 2 > 5

First: eliminate the fraction --- multiply the denominator by everything...

(3b)(1/3b) - (3b)(2) > (3b)(5)

Sec: cross cancel "like" terms & combine the rest...

1 - 6b > 15b

*Isolate "1" on one side --- add "6b" to both sides & combine it with "15b"...

1 - 6b + 6b > 15b + 6b
1 > 21b

Third: isolate "b" on one side --- divide both terms by "21"...

1/21 > 21b/21
1/21 > b
Or, b < 1/21

24. -1/2x + 3 > 4

First: eliminate the fraction --- multiply the denominator by everything...

(2x)(-1/2x) + (2x)(3) > (2x)(4)

Sec: cross cancel "like" terms & combine the rest...

-1 + 6x > 8x

Third: isolate "-1" on one side --- subtract "6x" from both sides...

- 1 + 6x - 6x > 8x - 6x
- 1 > 2x

*Isolate "x" on one side --- divide both terms by "2"...

-1/2 > 2x/2
-1/2 > x
Or, x < -1/2

Add 2, y/2 > 12
Double, y > 24
Y is greater than 24

Subtract 3t, -13 < 2t
Divide, -6.5 < t OR t > -6.5
t is greater than -6.5

For the last 2, do you mean:
1/(3b) or (1/3)b ..?
-1/(2x) or (-1/2)x ..?
