Could be. Or could be a fluke. But, that pre-menopausal stage can last many many years before the cycles stop,
I cycled every 3 weeks off and on for years before I finally had a hysterectomy last year when I just turned 49. Of course, there were other problems but I was peri-menopausal since 37 and apparently that's pretty common any more (girls are starting earlier and finishing earlier).

Could be hon. I'm 46 and ALREADY my period's are totally whacky. I might be 2 weeks early OR 2 weeks late. I might have 1 a month, or I might have 2. Who knows!! I've already started the hot flashes, not pleasant at all. Felt like my face was going to roast off!! And of course, mood swings like crazy. Isn't it just wonderful being a woman? lol

It could be almost anything. Menopause to just an early period, just be sure to get you PAP this year and ask you OB/Gyn. Good Luck!

Irregular periods can be a symptom of that. Especially if you have been like clockwork before.
