It raised the economy of the country and also was the first real attempt at eliminating many jobs that could be done more efficiently by machines expecially if they were repetitive in nature. One invention in that period actually spurred the next and so-on until there was change in the method of manufacturing that allowed it to prosper and grow. Supply and demand became more efficient and Britain became a greater exporter of finished products that would determine its succession to dominating the world trade market at that time.
