If you are looking for ships at random, the Ships web site would be good. Or, are you looking for the ship your family came on? Assuming you have the ancestor's name, and IF they were naturalized, you can find that application to find the date they immigrated. Much easier to find by date.
If that is not easily available by citizenship records, make sure you have as much info on a family group sheet for that family, and find them in census records. Birth places of children will be shown, and if there is one born in Poland and the next one in this country, that helps. You really need to know if they came before or after Ellis Island was opened.

There are genealogical sites on the internet, one is called Ships lists. You can ask a question and others may answer. There is also the Ellis Island website. For a very good list of genealogical sitesvtry Cyndi's List.
