restart the computer in press the boot menu button its usually f12 or f10 it should say at the start up

when you power on the computer(after shutting it down completely), when you see the initial screen, press the F8 key on the keyboard 2-3 times.
You will get to the advanced menu options, then press F8 again, or you can simply highlight safe mode using the up/down arrow key and press enter. you will enter into safe mode.

F* after the post boot up screen... or after the "splash" screen for you computer manufacturer... if you haven't done it before....tapping the f8 key after the initial boot up and before the windows splash screen will get you into your menu choices
