That can tell what browser you're using, your resolution, what operating system you're using, etc. But nothing about what kind of computer you're using, how much RAM, etc

If your Internet explorer security is low, yes, they can that's because they can run Java-scripts and VB-Scripts. These kind of stuffs are able to gather information from your computer.

There is two kinds of scripts:
1. Server-side scripts
2. Client-side scripts

those server-side scripts like PHP aren't able to gather such information, even with Cookies they can't. maybe the most dangerous thing for Server-side scripts are those who can find out what's your Web browser type or how long, when and how many times you have been there or even your IP address.

thank god , you did not ask what color is your computer, lol websites can gather allot information using cookies how much time you spent on there website some even spy on other sites your are surfing. so sites are becoming pretty smart haa

most big name website can figure out pretty much any thing they want about you...

especially if you have fill out any forms or for fields on the their site... then they can track your browsing behavior more accurately...
