It sounds like your fish have septicemia. I am betting that the cause of it is from poor water quality due to overcrowding. For that many fish, you need a 120 gallon aquarium minimum and I'll bet you don't have that. Rule is for commons, comets, shubunkins and koi, you must allow 20 gallons of water per fish minimum and, preferably, more. Taking the fish back and getting different ones won't stop the problems, however, taking them back will, at least, reduce your load and alleviate the overcrowding problem. Problem is, the pet store may not take back sick fish if they can show they weren't sold sick. If you have a 20 gallon tank, you can only have one fish. If you have a 40 gallon tank, you can only have 2 fish, etc. For now, you can get several of those plastic storage containers. They work great as temporary aquariums until you can afford to get a real aquarium in the size you need. You will need to do a quick cycle on these temporary tanks, which means using spring water, not distilled water, but spring water, add some stress-coat and get the ph level stabilized at 7.0. You can get tablets at the store for this. Adding beneficial bacteria doesn't matter because the medication will just kill it all anyway, but you need to read up on cycling a tank so the water is good for when the fish are healthy again. Filtration is important, but you, at least, need proper aeration for the tanks. 10X the gallons per hour for the size of the tank. So, if you have a 10 gallon tank, you need a pump that pumps 100 gph. You need to administer Maracyn or Maracyn 2 according to directions. Because this disease affects them internally, you also need to feed them medicated food such as Medi-Gold or Metro-Med. Treatment can take up to 6-10 weeks, so it takes a lot of patience, diligence and persistence in nursing your fish back to health. In the meantime, read up on water changes, water cycling and feeding so that you are familiar with how to maintain a healthy water environment for your fish. Good luck!

koi should be with koi as they grow big big and put the commets together. go to the pet store and describe thier condition so they can be treated asap. they do have an illness. your koi is probably sick to because no such thing as laziness in fish. u dont say if they are in a pond or aquarium??? koi belong in ponds so they can grow large/

blood? red patches maybe? red patches could be septicima -- its a bacteria you can treat with using the antibiotics maracyn and maracyn2 in combination.
it could also be parasites maybe? does it look like there are little worms up in the red spots?
you might want to do a gravel vacuum and water change -- you might have built up ammonia or something that. with goldfish i find it best to just do a lot of water changing -- i do 1/3 every 5 days in a small aquarium.

They are dying from water toxicity. You have them in a 10 gallon tank when they should be in a 75+ gallon tank. If you don't test the water and change it daily they will all die.
