Hi there, yes you most likely are pregnant, you are experiencing the typical signs of pregnancy & like you say your periods are usually regular and the first main sign of pregnancy is a missed period. The fact you only got a faint line on the test does not matter - the fact it caused a line to appear means there is pregnancy hormone in your body to create this. You can get a false negative but not a false positive. The fact it didnt show up on the test at the health department was probably because the amount of hormone in your body at this stage of pregnancy is low & is strongest first thing in the morning, the test was probably a little later on in the day. By all means go back to the health dept. to confirm the pregnancy in a week or so but in the mean time look after yourself until you have further advice. All the best.

I don't think you are pregnant. If you say the health department test came back negative then I am sure that it is correct. I would do a home test again in a week. Sometimes my period is regular and sometimes it goes whack. I've went up to three months with no period yet I would still get the symptoms. My nipples get sore about a week before my cycle. I think you may need to be tested for a vaginial infection just to be safe. Hope you get things sorted out.

It's normal to have irregular periods at times. If you took the test and got a negative then you're not pregnant. if you don't have your period within 1 to 1 1/2 month then you should suspect and consult your OB doctor. With respect to symptoms, nipple soaring can be felt before, during or after period. It can also be felt in temperature changes. Nausea and stomach cramps can be brought about by stress and other biological and environmental factors. There are many ways to test if you are pregnant. Discuss it with your partner as well as your doctor.

I'd say you are pregnant, even if it was just a faint line. Sometimes the tests they use at health clinics are less sensitive than the ones you can buy - hence why they like to wait until 1-2 weeks to test.
Start taking your vitamins!
By the way - it's rubbish that pregnancy symptoms do not show up this early as someone else said. I had symptoms before my period was late, as do many many other women.

so you are five days late...? it would be early... if the health dept? you mean clinic, does not like to test till two weeks, might be because they do not have tests that are very sensitive.. also if done first thing in morning they are more accurate.. I would wait a day or two and if nothing? retake one but in the morning... I would probably also try and get either EPT or CLearblue.. in studies those two are most accurate....
the symptons you give? soreness, nausea, cramps are all signs that can be early pregnancy OR period.... so relax... :) de-stress, it has been proven time and again that stressing or worrying about not getting ones period? makes you not get your period... adding to stress and confusion... so deep breaths... relax...
good luck!

to me it sounds like you're pregnant, I have a 2yr old and before I had him I would miss my periods all the time so I always thought I was pregnant and the doctor said it was because since I had moved in with my bf and was having sex more often then usual then it was affecting my cycles but when I finally did get pg I just knew and I still got my period for 2mnths but you can feel it and everyone can tell I had 2 little boys come up to me and tell me I had a baby in my stomach so the next day I went to the doctor and he told that I was pregnant!!! so like I said if you feel like you really are then call you ob/gyn soon!!!!

I think that you could be pregnant. The same thing happened to me..I took one of those cheap test and I was only a month, but it showed up 1 dark line and the other one you could barely see...I called the doctor and she said more than likely if the other line was showing dark or not.. It was positive that I was pregnant..Ididnt believe her and took another one the expensive kind and it was the same..I was pregnant

It sounds to me like perhaps you should try spending more than $1 on this pregnancy test. Buy a good test. Some claim to be able to tell earlier than ever. Your symptoms sound consistant with pregnancy, but could also be symptoms of your menstrual cycle too. Either wait, or try a better test tomorrow (or tonight).

First I would go and get another prgnancy test but not a cheap one then see what the result says. This will give you an idea if you are or not. Then you should definatley make an appointment with your doctor to be sure.
