you never really get over someone that you love...you learn to move past the emotions but that takes time and hard work on your part. The best way to deal with the pain is to start doing things that you enjoy and be sure to fill your time up so you limit the amount of time you can spend sulking over that person.
Best of Luck to you in the future and know that there is someone else out there for you who may be a better soul mate for you then the other person.

I met my soul mate too. I married him. We have the worst marrage and I feel trapped. I still love him and I can't leave him. I work and got to school. He has no job and never graduated highschool. I feel like I,m raising our son in an unhappy home but fear being alone. I still love him even after all that has happened. If you find out how to get over him. Let us all know!

I've been with my husband for 4 years. Before that, I was dating a guy for 3 years. I thought we were meant to be. Now that I look back, I am so glad we arent together anymore. I know my hubby and I are truly meant to be. My ex is now a total loser, on drugs, in trouble, sleeping around. Despite knowing that I would NEVER want to be with him again, I still have a dream about him once in a while, or get the urge to call him up and see how he is, or miss kissing him (we had great chemistry, but everything else sucked). I know I am much better off. They say you never get over your first love. You just have to learn from your mistakes, and know that it is possible to love somebody that you are NOT meant to be with, so you have to be careful.

Maybe if you really really love him probably it will take a long time to forget about him the best way to forget about someone is to start a new relationship with some other person and as the days pass may be you start forgeting about that other person. But like they say TRUE LOVE NEVER DIES.

Good Luck! But seriously its not easy however everyday it will hurt a little less. Try, hard as it might be, to move on; see other people. And for Gods sake quit talking to them, it will only prolong you feelings and attachment form them. Make a break.

You need to keep yourself busy. Surround yourself with your most positive and upbeat friends and find a hobby which will consume your time. Don't date for awhile because you will only be comparing and that's not fair to you.
It's not easy to get over someone like that, but given time you will. If I did it, anyone can.

try to forget about them and give yourself time to heal, once you think you are ok, try to date someone else, that is what I did, and now I am doing ok enough, even though I still miss him sometimes.
