Well, I agree that the laws should be more strict. However, there are wrongfully accused people everyday. So, is the death sentence always the correct way to do things?

Plus there are different types of raping.

Such as:
Female rape
Gang rape
Male rape
Rape of children by parents, elder relatives, and other responsible elders
Rape as means of warfare
Spousal rape
Statutory rape

If a girl around the age of 16 is dating someone who is 19, and they have sex..that is Statutory rape...is that wrong enough to kill them? No way..because the 16 year old more than likely wanted to do it also...or she wouldn't have been dating the guy or whatever.

If a woman is drunk and can't control herself and is putting herself all over a guy when she isn't thinking clearly..and he convinces her to sleep w/ him...and if she wouldn't have normally done that sober, thats considered rape...but he shouldn't be killed because its her fault too for putting herself in that situation.

If an older person or someone who knows a child or teenager and RAPES them ..yes they need to be tooken care of immediately..because thats wrong.

If a stranger just walks up behind a woman and rips her clothes off and she can't defend herself..then yes, harsh punishment should be used.

I am a victim of rape and molestation and the first thing that should be done is that when a woman finally has the guts to tell the abuser to stop and she tells the police, something should be done then. The police should have looked into it instead of just saying I don't think that is in our county line. Go the f u c k out where I told you and find out, then arrest the son of a b i t c h.
On the other had as angry as I am about it and hate what has happened to me and countless other victims, it is not in my hands, I am not the judge. I can get just as furious as the next person and think of horrible things to do to people like that but I am in no position to punish anyone. I am not going to have the blood or guilt of taking another humans life on my hands because they wanted to be stupid and cruel.

I do agree that the punishment for rape should be more severe. BUT the death penalty HAS NEVER served as a deterrent, like one would logically think it would. I wrote a thesis on the death penalty and juveniles in America...anyways, in the states that have the death penalty they actually have higher rates of crimes deserving the death penalty, odd huh?

Maybe we should just fix them where the could not rape with their genitals ever again!

YES BUT you have to have it very specific. Like lets say a girl is about to turn 18 in 3 days and has sex with a 25 yr old guy( consensual sex ) and some other person causes trouble and says oh its rape cause shes not 18( lets say that states law is 18 ) death would be harsh for that person.
NOW if you're talking where it is forced, oh yeah then death and when I mean force, it could by physical or mental

convinced, thus far all civilizations have deem forcible rape to be a capital crime 2d in hardship-free words to homicide. Rape is a terrible crime, it kills the sufferer's experience of personality protection. regrettably, societies many times positioned the blame of rape on the sufferer or the mothers and fathers/guardians of the sufferer --- not the rapist. regardless of the indisputable fact that, rape can and has been falsely charged antagonistic to possibility free people. i imagine that rape should be a capital crime (and that i have self assurance that each and each man or woman capital crimes should be completely resolved interior one thousand days of apprehension of the accused.) allowing any assassin or rapists to exploit the welfare of the state for better than that element is implicit advantages for vile habit.

The punishment should fit the crime, and I think death is a little extreme. HOWEVER, I would certainly advocate life imprisonment and possible castration (YEOWZA! That should motivate ANY man not to rape!).

One local politician has been asked when a rapist or another sex offender has paid their debt to society. The politician's answer (and I wholly agree): When the victim can forget what happened...

Look, I'm sorry that I need to tell you this, but a stance like this is incredibly ignorant, no doubt. A lot of innocent people are sentenced to prison time for crimes they didn't commit, particularly minorities. In that way, it's not only ignorant, but also racist. The numbers of people sentenced to death later found innocent of the crime they were killed for are insane.

er... I accuse you then...what can't prove you didn't rape me... tough that's the law. My wife represented a Spanish boy who was over here studying for his degree who slept with a woman in her 30's after a party who days later accused him of rape. It wasn't easy to prove he didn't (usually it's impossible) but only after his acquittal was the court told she has done the same repeatedly and can never be named. The law is ridiculous enough w. men being named and women not, not to mention 5% successful prosecution rates are so low due to spurious claims.

two wrongs don't make a right. rape is a terrible thing, but is killing someone really the answer to the victim's suffering? it might give a feeling of revenge, but once they're dead, what was solved?

With the prevalence of aids, rape can be a death sentence for the victim. I agree. Punishment to suit the crime.
