How to make a Nokia 6265 detect a SIM card?

Ok i have this Metro PCS phone and I'm trying to make it detect a SIM card from my other phone which is Cingular Wireless. It's a Nokia 6265

If the Metro PCS phone is not unlocked then it will not recognize the Cingular sim card.
