Im On a network & wanted to know can i use a printer that is connected to another pc over the network to this pc as this pc dosnt have a printer. If so how do i go about setting it up so i can ty

Yes, you can.

First, on the computer that the printer is hooked up to, go into your Control Panel, Network Properties and enable 'File/Printer Sharing.' If you can't find it, just do a search in Windows for it.


THEN

Go into Printers, right-click on the printer he wants to share and go to Properties. There will be a Sharing Tab where you can set this up.


THE KEY

The key to making this work is both computers have to be in the same workgroup. Right-click on My Computer, click on the Identification Tab (I think) and change the workgroup to something that is the same on both computers. It doesn't matter what it is, just that it's the same.


To add the shared printer to the other computer, go into Add Printer and tell you want to add a Network Printer and then browse for it. Windows should automatically find it.

yes you can share the printer you will need to set the computer with the printer up to share printer and files to do this read the network help files it will tell you how to set it up, read the printer sharing section

if your using windows XP or 98 second edition

at the same time as the pcs say you've restricted connection skill your community card is determined for computerized ip address and can't get carry of one so will supply itself one yet in a diverse ip address decision.you opt on to manually set the IP for both pcs contained in the properties of your community playing cards.
