I've been wondering that myself! I also see people asking the general Yahoo population to help them solve math problems, as well.

Usually there are a few questions about various books, or asking for good books to read...guess everyone's too excited about the new Harry Potter book to worry about normal questions. As for students cheating on homework...I don't like it. It's cheating; maybe I'm just a goody two shoes 4.0 student, but I don't like it. A lot of the time, it'd just be easier to go to Google and type in a phrase that's related to their question, anyway.

And you asked a question not about homework, or about Harry Potter. Bravo! :)

Well, I don't currently have any questions out there, but I have asked a couple and I am definitely NOT a student! Not for quite a few years! LOL But it does seem like an awful lot of "give me a summary of" or "what is the plot/climax/rising action" type questions. Maybe most of the adults are actually reading books, instead of here trying to get information about them so we don't have to read them!!!!!!

Occasionally I see a person asking about who has a similar style so they can read something else similar to what they liked but the vast majority are students cheating because they are too lazy to read their own book.

I think all the questions about Harry Potter preorders aren't homework. :-P

I understand your frustration, though. I would like to see some actual discussion that didn't just feel like doing someone's homework.

I can't really talk, though, as I haven't yet come up with a good question to ask here.
