Because the cheap stuff you don't care so much if you guzzle it down. The expensive stuff you want to savor every last drop and get your money's worth so u sip instead of gulp. It's psychological you don't even know you are doing it.

Because fine wine wasn't made to get you ripped and roarin'. It's more of a tasting experience and a tool for socializing. The cheaper stuff is probably produced for people who drink it alone, straight out the bottle in a paper bag, while lying on a park bench... but not always.

Cheap wine has an incredibly high alcohol content compared to regular wine. Its also rough stuff.

How much do you drink? You probably can afford to drink more of the cheap wine; that's all I can conclude without more info.

I think it has a higher alcohol content. Also, people usually drink the expensive stuff with a good meal, which absorbs alcohol.

I'd like to know why this is too. It's kind of similar to the way cheap foods are fattier than the more expensive, "healthy," alternatives.

You drink more of it faster due to the lower cost. Remember, price doesn't mean more alcohol content.

please tell what cheap wine your drinking?
I am drinking expensive pinot noir,,,,,,,,and I am off for another. I find that your drunk has to do with how much your eating, and if your excited, and happy, I will get drunk faster..... also if there is more sugar content in it, I will get loopier.
