Are latin women really attracted to american men?

According to my friends from Peru and Columbia, they are attracted to "white men" especially from the US because that means wealth. My beautiful Cuban friend married an ugly (seriously) German guy, and when they were visiting her parents in Cuba, she was so upset because all the pretty girls were like hitting on her husband.

Evidently yes. I know so many people who are Latin on their mother's side and American (caucasian) on their father's side...
