You won't like my answer....you can go back to work and finish out the shift....you'll feel better for doing it and you wont' have to think of an excuse....

one day you might need a favor from you boss ....and he will remember you coming back in to work....see how it works....it's a give and take world....

even though you are tired....you fulfill your duties to your boss as long as he is not abusing you after you pulled your 8 hours. This time of year with the flu / virus going around sometimes others can not come in and work....so the rest have to pull together and make up for the one who is missing.

Best of luck on your decision,
Mama Jazzy Geri

The doorknob fell off when you tried to leave your home. Frantic, you called the fire department, who promptly arrived 15 minutes later. They had to smash the door open with an axe, and one of the splinters lodged itself in your right ear. Being a trooper, you refused treatment, and were on your way to work...unfortunately, the splinter caused an inner-ear imbalance, and you tumbled down the stairs, breaking both legs and your collarbone.

The doctor says you should be fine by tommorrow, though.

Tell him that you have 24 hour leprosy, and you have to go because your ear has stuck to the phone now. : ) I actually called in with that excuse once. My boss was cool about it tough...and I hadn't called-in in ages. He laughed and said "see ya in the morning." : )

Tell your boss you took a pain pill, because your back or whatever was hurting you, and the pill is making you drowsy.

Well, have you already worked your shift? Don't look for an excuse or lie, just tell him/her the truth. You're too tired. :)

tell them you are starting to feel sick (physicaly) and tired. The truth is always the best excuse.
