That sounds a bit dodgy; what I mean is, there is this plant which has small red seeds, typically known to represent love. What plant is this?

A beautiful flowering plant called Strawberry Bush (Euonymus americanus) may be what you are looking for. It has small red seeds that hang from bursted seed pods. It is a favorite Valentine's day plant.

On the other hand, the "love seed" used in pagan rituals is known by the names carrot-leaf, desert-parsley, desert biscuitroot, depending on where you live. It is in the parsley family, subspecies Lomatium.
The seeds are not usually red, but they are very sweet, and can be used to sweeten tea, among other things.
The flowers are usually yellow, the plant is edible, and the seeds come up in little "umbrellas", and can be any color from beige to burgundy.
In Paganism, it is believed to promote love and/or friendship.

Hope this helped....
