Just relax for a minute. Its OK for your period not to be normal IMMEDIATELY after stopping BC. You can test about 1 a week if you still dont get your period.
I would suggest that you go to a free site like mymonthlycycles.com or fertilityfriend.com to start charting your cycles. If may take you a year or longer to get pregnant, try not to stress, do some research on increasing your odds for pregnancy and you can email me if you wanna chat. I am full of info.
Good luck.

ask your doctor for laparascopy and they will see if you have any major problems its a day surgery and its for the best. I am having one in march because they think the depoprovera injection might have caused 3 things in my body 1..Edemetriosis 2... Ectopic Pregnancies 3.....Infertility.
im the oppisite i was on the injection and bled the whole time (still am since May last year) and the pain is like contractions. Every pregnancy test i have had is neg. I got off my injection in aug. Im a very sick weak person at the moment and a laparascopy will help you find out if theres something there that an ultrasound blood tests and swaps of the cervix cant find The depoprovera can have terrible side effectsi recommend you ask your doctor at least they will be able to tell you if theres is something majorly wrong and why you cant fall pregnant good luck. Every time you use birth control, you should have at least six months off the birth control just so that your body can get rid of all the chemicals that it had, and since you mentioned that you were on it for many years, I would recommend to wait some more before trying to get pregnant, of course in that period of time you can still try, but I would seriously not try and get my hopes up. Good Luck!!

Hey ya...
My sister was on depo and it took 12 months to get her period back.
I went off my tablet pill and took 3 months, then another 3 for the next period. And now I am bouncing between 28-45 days :-(
Go to the Docs and see if they can give you something to regulate your natural period (not the pill obviousley).
I know how frustrating it is, I am 13 months TTC Aggghhh...
But I try to make plans in my life that involve babies and no babies... just in case. I think people get so caught up it consumes their lives and its like you 'have' to have a baby and forget the real reason you wanted one.
Best of luck, but bare with it and have lots of sex...
You can do it
:-)

Recently coming off birth control can mess up your cycle a little. I think you should wait a few more days, test again and if it's still negative, make an appointment to see your doctor (just to be safe). Good luck!!!

It can take a while for the system to get back into gear. It took 6 months for my body to get itself sorted and then only 1 month afterwards before we conceived.
If your in a hurry to get your cycle back there are medications available, but of course only through an OB/GYN.

after being on birth control you system is probably just off. it will not have the same timing as it did when you were on the birth control. it could take up to a year for your system to regulate itself.

Call the doctor's office. If they think you are pregnant, they'll have you go in for blood work.
