The best thing you can do for your friend is listen and offer the best advice you can. To help her be more happy, try inviting her to do something exciting with you, something new or spontaneous, out of her normal day to day routine. A movie or concert, bowling or shooting a game of pool are some suggestions for keeping her mind off of everyone else's problems. For the depression you should advise her to excercise, which will release a lot of built up tension. If you or her has the money you should take a trip. Paradise can put a smile on anyone's face.

Or maybe, why don't you two go out for a day, al lday, ahve some fun. Cheer her up a bit.
If she's not better, or is suffering form serious depression. Maybe you should ask other firnds to help or tell her t osee a doctor.

Problems are always problems..
Its nice of your friend, taking care of anyone's probs..
Take your friend to mall, treat her to a nice ice cream parlor, have fun in the beach..
But the best thing to do is to make her laugh and smile always..
And even with all that depression, she will stop and think once in a while that, "why be sad when I have a friend like you?"

You see, Time is a perfect solution for every problem. If you are very good and closed friends then talk with her directly on her favorite place in morning. If you are not enough good friends then be with her. Force her to enjoy the life with you. Spend your time with her. Do not allow any reason to come to her for her depression. Behave in a manner such that she will discuss her problems with you. Once you get her problem get solution of it.

Sometimes depression is brought on my chemical imbalances in your system and not just things going on in your life. To make that determination, she should go to a doctor and possibly a psychologist to determine is she needs medication or therapy. Don't downplay her symptoms. There are a lot of teenagers who commit suicide because of depression and it possibly would not have happened if a friend had stepped in and persuaded them to get help. Talk to her folks if you have to but don't ignore it. Help her get help.

Maybe your friend has a hormone imbalance or anti depressive dis order.
Sounds like she might have one or the other. Should maybe ask her to see her physician, to get tested. With the right medication she could be saved of this.

Knowing from a long life of depression and anxiety, I would help her to cheer up through a movie or cd, and give her advice to stop dwelling about the problems in life, and think of the positive things. ^-^

that is a very big question........i think maybe guide her to a counselor so she can find out where to set limits in her life with other people and see where that leads....you dont know if it's a chemical problem...like a chemical imbalance in her body or if it comes from external causes...so start with the counseling....

Do something for her....all about her,.....set her up with a day of beauty....if the problem is deeper ....you should talk serious with her about it....I went through a depression and it was horrible , but the people who love me are the ones who helped me through it....they did not always tell me what I wanted to hear , but what I NEEDED to hear....................

I think the best thing you can do for your friend right now is just lend her your ear to listen to and your shoulder to cry on. I hope she'll be okay soon.
