Do you think girls shouldn't play video games?

lol, I usually kick guys butts in gears of war and they assume i'm like 300 pounds or a dyke but im 115 pounds and i love shopping and pink and girl stuff i just don't understand why they have so much hate

i think girls who play are an interesting bunch and i'm pretty sure our masses are growing every day! i went from playing doom in college; to kicking my guy friends' collective arses every weekend at doa2;, to meeting my now husband who got me hooked on gaming as a regular occurance be it sim, rts, rpg, fps, point and click mysteries, we play them all (and more often than not, he barely gets any time to play since i hog the keyboard - yet it doesn't bother him - his gal is playing computer games!) =)
we've also been playing WoW for two years now, and you'd be surprised at the number of girls in that game! in fact for more than a year i was in the top guild on our server, and there were actually several girls in the guild!

That's how I am. When I got with my bf I asked if I could help past a tough spot and I did it my first try and he was like wow. You're a girl. I don't think it matters if you're a girl or guy. Video games are cool. I'm a mom of 2 kids and still enjoy video games. But some people just don't understand. I think video gamers are a rare breed and only we understand each other, girl or guy.

it shouldn't matter what gender you are,your playing a game to have fun or relive stress or what ever.i don't play online but from what i have read and heard girls/women get treated like crap most times which there is no reason for.i personally think its HOT that girls/women play video games and would prefer to be beaten at a game by girls/women.my ex wife always thought video games are for little kids,and she was wrong.i would love to date a gamer girl/women,i think it would be great.hope this helps.keep playing and having fun.

There is nothing wrong with girls playing video games.. I play video games all the time.. My favorites are Halo and Halo 2. Im the girl who is up all night playing in Halo tournaments with the guys. And you know what?? If it makes you happy then it doesnt matter what people think.

One would be surprised to find out just how many females are into video games. I've been playing for most of my life; sadly I no longer have my old Atari system :'( .
Personally, I don't think they should be relegated to only those who possess the Y chromosome. If I want to play Doom or Devil May Cry, then I'm gonna. I don't care if anyone thinks I should be in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant instead. Screw that!

What's wrong w/ women playing video games? They have just as much as a right 2 play as men. Just b/c one is female doesn't mean that she can't play them. 2 answer your question, they should and can play video game.

I usually dont think about it on online play but if im playing against them in the same room, i dont really think much at all. surprisingly, the people i know that are girls on online play usually do play first person shooters.

I think that girls that play video games would be AWESOME girlfriends. Ha ha ha! Girls that play video games are standing up for themselves because many people think that video games are for guys/dorks/nerds/geeks etc.

It would be hard to imagine being owned by a girl in those games that you mentioned. But I every guy loves a challenge.
