They never got off. There was a movie that showed them going off due to a title waive, but at the end they end back on the island.

When the show was suddenly cancelled in April of 1967 the castaways had never been rescued. 11 years later in 1978 CBS aired special where the castaways were washed off the Island by a tsunami, floated into the shipping lanes and were rescued. However, by the end of the episode, Gilligan messed up and got them all stranded back on the same island. The following year, 1979, CBS broadcast another special in which the professor repairs a WWII bomber and tries to fly them all home. They land back on the island but the navy saw them on radar and sends a ship to the rescue.

They found the key to the boat starter and just drove off.
In a successful 1978 made-for-TV movie, Rescue From Gilligan's Island, the castaways did successfully leave the island, but had difficulty reintegrating into society. During a reunion cruise at the first Christmas after their rescue, fate intervened and the group found themselves marooned on the exact same island. It starred the original cast except for Tina Louise, who refused to participate and was replaced as Ginger by Judith Baldwin (who seemed much too young for the role, compared to the other actors). The plot of the movie involved Soviet agents seeking a memory disc from a spy satellite that landed on the island and facilitated their rescue.

I think that they are still there.
“Your life is an island separated from all other islands and continents. Regardless of how many boats you send to other shores or how many ships arrive upon your shores, you yourself are an island separated by its own pains, secluded in its happiness”
“No man is an island, entire of itself; every man is a piece of the continent.”
“Judging is a lonely job in which a man is, as near as may be, an island entire.”
“I feel we are all islands - in a common sea.”
“Manhattan is a narrow island off the coast of New Jersey devoted to the pursuit of lunch.”
“We were about to change an island of dreams into a living hell.”
“I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.”
“No man or woman is an island. To exist just for yourself is meaningless. You can achieve the most satisfaction when you feel related to some greater purpose in life, something greater than yourself.”
“Change the changeable, accept the unchangeable, and remove yourself from the unacceptable.”

According to a special reunion type movie from the 80's (?), they built this huge raft with some huts on it. While at sea, Gilligan accidentally caught one of the huts on fire which attracted the attention of a boat or plane and they were rescued. But further into the movie after they all went back to their individual lives, they weren't as happy as they thought they would be. So they got together for a short boat ride and.........you guessed it. Wound back on the island.

They tied the Huts together because of an incoming storm, when the storm was over they opened up the door on the huts and they were afloat.
Gilligan started a fire to keep warm on the floor of the huts and a plane seen the smoke.
