Astronauts
Q. What is an astronaut's salary?
A. Salaries for civilian Astronaut Candidates are based on the Federal Government's General Schedule pay scale for grades GS-12 through GS-13. Each person's grade is determined according to his/her academic achievements and experience. Currently, a GS-12 starts at $65,140 per year and a GS-13 can earn up to $100,701 per year.
Military Astronaut Candidates are assigned to the Johnson Space Center and remain in an active duty status for pay, benefits, leave, and other similar military matters.

I don't know, but it costs a lot to get to be an astronaut, they have to have a lot of advanced degrees and stuff. I know this because my pal works for NASA in Huntsville, Alabama and they have been assigned the task of designing and building the next generation of moon rockets for a trip in 2018. This is all true.
I still don't know how much they make, but I toured both the Huntsville facilities, and also the Johnson Space Center near Houston, and took the Level Nine tour, in which we actually eat in their cafeteria. Honest. I touched a moon rock. And I touched the real Apollo 17 capsule. You're not supposed to, but unlike Apollo 17 in Alabama, it was not behind plexiglas.
I also have a picture of me in the mission command chair in the original mission control. Now that one is shut down, and there is a different Mission Control for each type of mission: shuttle, space station.
So, I can't tell you what they make, but if you go to either of those places, you can find out.
