Sorry to inform you Patriotic.. There is no enlightenment without liberals. Liberals were the ones who started the last enlightment and Age of Reason and you cannot have Reason and Enlightenment without forward thinking people. Just remember, the conservatives wanted to remain a colony of England under King George.

ALunaticF... Chill out. I said "RIGHT WING CHRISTIANS" I'm fully aware that not all Christians are right wing nuts and are rational and enlightened individuals. BTW, most of our science done in this country is done for or by the military. More reason why we need a new enlightenment era. With science at the service of Right wing nuts and the military, their self fulfilling philosophy of the apocalypse has more chances of happening. I'm desiring of an era of enlightenment with more intellectual stimulation and not one of religious dogma and santimoneous charletons running the country.

A new enlightenment era with no liberals for sure. I guess I can say that at least we republicans have emotions. Hate, well the left wingnut modern day hippy party has shown that word belongs to them.

A new era where there is no abortion, welfare for those that really need it, illegal immigration at a standstill, murderers not in power, and no more liberal agendas to bring the Country down.

Aren't we emotionless because we do not support welfare and gay rights? Christian wing nuts have provided 95% of all science in the world and while being the number 2 religion in the world. The number one reason expressed by well known scientists became scientists. I wanted to unlock the secrets God put in the world for us to learn. In other word Christianity promotes science. But only science with morals. The greatest and strongest country to try to promote science without morals = Germany 1930's and 40's. some of the greatest worlds scientists were in Germany and with no moral code and no Christian influence (in the government) they did horrible things.

Well, supposedly. The musical "Hair" calls forthis, I believe, back from the 1970's...
But let's just say that it is true, that we are coming into a much more humanitarian, cooperative, peaceful era,
it does take a while for one constellation to truly take its place in the dominance of our skies.
And that's just if it has any veracity at all.
But, somewhere in my heart, where I've witnessed two near-fatal accidents that I came to later have,
I see it as just possible.

Lila perhaps you should tell us what liberal philosophy you want us to buy in to without insulting us. And remember that one of the most liberal free thinkers of his day was Christopher Colombus who said the world was round and set out to prove it. Todays Liberals depict him as a Greed driven racist. One of the major problems with liberal ideas today is you don't set out to prove them first. What if Colombus had run around saying the World is round but when challenged to prove it he had said, why should I have to prove it, isn't that the governments job?
