I am making an invitation to my daughter's 10th birthday which will be an award night themed party. I have hit such a wall...
I am asking that they come dressed as a star and will receive awards and will have an "after party".......can anyone help?!

On the invitation you should put something like,

You are cordially invited...
To The Tenth Annual Birthday Extravaganza (I like the idea of the 10th annual)
starring... (daughter's name)

You should put the time of the party like 8/7 central like they do for prime time TV (or however they do it in your area)

A good idea for a fun game to play would be "Whose acceptance speech is this"? Make up fake acceptance speeches and make the girls guess them. (put hints in the speeches. Use people such as their TV favorites, famous characters, Disney, teachers, coaches, your dog, etc)

A red carpet outside the house if possible would be really cool.

Have fun!

Check out www.orientaltrading.com for some fabulous decorations or handouts or even cheap games. They even have trophies.

Use some of your daughter's past tests for a Jeapordy game. They can choose a category, science, history, etc.

Play a version of Deal or No Deal with lunch boxes you borrow. Put play money in all but one, which will have enough two dollar bills for each guest to get one, IF it is chosen. Be the banker and offer less money as the game progresses.

have a red carpet in your dining room, lving room, or entry way

for the invitations have them on a gold star shaped piece of paper then use a silver sharpie to write the details on it.

take pictures of them and give them each a pic at the end of the party

Sounds good! It should be the Grammy's so they can all do kareoke and vote on each others performances. Roll out the red carpet!
