A system in which property and the distribution of wealth are subject to social control sounds liberal to me. Yes they are easily tricked.

When the free market system collapsed in 1929 it was the pure socialist New Deal offered by FDR that got America solvent and working again. In Europe where there was no need to disguise those type of Socialist reforms under another name we had the German economic miracle and it has worked well in almost all European countries for 60 years now. In the UK (where you system came from) we have Labour = Socialists Liberals = Progressives and Conservatives = traditionalists. If your Liberals didn't at least try to cover some ground to the left you might as well have a one party state. Some would say that you v. nearly do and this is the greatest threat to the world now.

The liberals were on to Bush's lies and true intent concerning Iraq from the beginning. It was the conservatives that were easily fooled.....

By the way, you should do some research and learn the difference between an American liberal and a socialist

With socialism that would mean giving a leader absolute power over the people and I have not meet a Liberal that wants that. Now some social programs are OK.

Are conservatives easily tricked? I'd have to assume, based on your question, that you consider yourself one, and since we're making sweeping generalizations, that must mean that all conservatives see things in black and white, and refuse to do research...

I recall how the cons thought Terri Schaivo was just in a coma and could be saved and those mean lib judges were going to murder her (Hannity was coming to the rescue to save her).

Cons are so easily tricked, aren't they?
