wear cleavage and "drop" a pencil and bend down to pick it up in front of her (if you want to be that forward!)

wear rainbow attire or pro gay clothes if you want to go that route

smile at her a lot

wear a shirt with buttons and when she is watching you-unbutton a couple (a girl did this to me and it was sexy!)

First of all, you say they will "start up the rumour that you are a lesbian" Isn't this true?
Remember that homophobia is a fear, fear of something unknown, unexperienced, whatever. they are afraid. just be yourself, and if you are really worried about what her friends think just start off by paying her little compliments. Any subjects that she is good at? pretend you are having trouble in that subject, ask for her email address so you can ask her about it. Then you have a way to do as other people have said and write to her. As she is obviously still very much in the closet don't come on too strong, or she may just tell her friends out of fear.

good luck!

Do what any one would do if would do if they are interested in someone, same or opposite sex. Talk to and hang out with her and see if the relationship progresses. Of course, since she is in the closet, you have to be more cautious but you have to ask yourself why you like a girl who is one of the popular homophobic crowd?

Well if I were you I would try and get to know her better and flirt like crazy with her,I would definately let it be known that I am interested in her.Or you could subtley let her know that you know about her bisexuality, but don't freak her out about your knowledge of her because she might avoid you out of fear. You could also just flat out tell her that you like her if you're a very direct and straight forward person.

Rather than telling her your feelings, how about suggesting going out for a pizza and a soda. Keep your feelings to yourself until you see how she treats you. If she is so involved in a popular clique is it really worth your time to get involved?

Ask the girl out and just go with how the day/evening goes and then tell how you feel.

try to talk to her quietly and tell her you are interested in her and that you think she is attractive/hot. see what she says. hopefully she'll give you a chance and maybe you can like start seeing each other..

but be careful what you say to her.. if she's part of the snobby popular crowd, she might try to ruin your reputation if she doesn't like you..

Let her catch you looking at her. Then I'd suggest trying to talk to her about class work and ask to study with her or quiz each other, it's lame and cliche but it works.
