When equations are in this form, the two-intercept method is the easiest way to graph them. Put 0 for x and see what y is; plot this point. Then put 0 for y and see what x is; plot this point. Then draw a line between them and label it with the equation. Do this for the second equation too and draw both on the same set of axes/ The answer to the system is the point where the lines cross.

The first is a line that crosses x-axis at 3, y-axis at -2. Second is a line that crosses x-axis at -5, y-axis at -10. They intersect at (-3,-4)
