Today's peso buy and sell rates at banks in Tijuana (2 February 2007) was 10.75 and 10.96 to the US Dollar.
That is: Buying 1000 pesos would cost you $93.02
Converting 1000 pesos back to US dollars would get you $91.24
The difference is the bank's profit.
