Email:

president@whitehouse.gov
vice.president@whitehouse.gov

Note: Obviously there are THOUSANDS of emails every day. I am sorry to say that whoever is screening them is not doing a very good job. At least they missed one very good one in February 2005.

They need someone with high IQ for screener as opposed to a brain-dead party hack temporarily in a posh job.

A letter that is typewritten may get more attention. Who ever gets a letter (not junk mail) and does not take time to read it?

Letter etiquette -- Be polite, you are writing to the elected President, even if you did not vote for him, even if you do not approve. Getting nasty is uncouth and will not accomplish any good purpose.

Much better to have a lucid, concise, coherent argument in good English, citing relevant facts and without any nastyisms. After all, the latter are put into a 'later to never' pile, by everyone, RIGHT?

On the other hand, if your letter is polite, your facts and argument persuasive, your ethics correct, your understanding of the subject reflecting both experience and validity, you may help to move the ship of state into a more favorable course, YES?

President George W. Bush
THE WHITE HOUSE
1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, N.W.
Washington, DC 20500

start with Dear President Bush or
Dear Mr. President

If you letter pertains to some area of Cabinet expertise, send a copy to that Secretary (Defense, Atty General, State, whatever)

You can address that c/o THE WHITE HOUSE Mail Room, if you do not know their address, but you need to have their full name on the envelope, such as "Condoleeza Rice, Secretary of State."

I would recommend taking more time and care about what you write than you would give to an 'A' grade school assignment.

After all, these people are very, very busy. They have BIG problems to work on. Why waste their time, YES?

Pays to be wise and considerate, especially if you want to get your point across.

By the way, people who make threats will find neatly dressed Secret Service Agents at their door. And for some really bad letters, they are taken 'downtown' for further questioning, maybe put onto a list that lasts forever....

I hope this covers all you need.

If lots of other people agree with you, you can include their signatures of approval, but you better be totally honest about that. The other signees must have agreed to the exact same letter you send. Remember, God is watching too, and the Angels are keeping careful records....

Enough said.

Write the letter starting with DEAR MR. PRESIDENT,

Then put it in an envelope, put a first class stamp on it and address it to PRESIDENT GEORGE W. BUSH, 1600 PENNSYLVANIA AVENUE, N.W., WASHINGTON, D.C. 20500-0001

Oh and use REAL English, not IM English, then do a SPELL CHECK on your spelling.

After being run through Check Spelling (found right up there ^)
president is spelled p-r-e-s-i-d-e-n-t.

For the email try www.whitehouse.gov
